hello, i am a german guy living in california, just a couple of miles south of san francisco. i am using this website to meet people, since i moved around quite a lot. i am here as for my ph.d. in german linguistics, but i grew up and went to college in germany. i also lived in england for a while. i am wearing dark colors and have black hair, but i dont wear make-up or extreme spiky looks. but i usually like that with other people. i listen to a large variety of music, and since i am very open minded with music, only some of my music collection is goth-related.
i am really attracted to the goth communiy. the most important reasons are: (1) i like the people. there is a sense of depth that i often miss in average people. (2) i really like goth aesthetics, especially the visual side of it.

it is all about people: the special someone, but also friends (quality is more important than quantity), even family, even though mine lives very far away, i enjoy seeing them a lot...

i also want to be happy in my professional life. i chose a job (university teacher) that makes me very happy. and i would like to achieve more in the academic field.

i also want to live somewhere where i feel good.

to sum it up: i dont know if that qualifies as a gool in life, but my goal is to live in a location that i value, with people i love, and a profession that is fulfilling.
